Climbing has been the driving force in Chris Sharma’s life for over 20 years now, from establishing North America’s first 8c+ at the age of 15, to putting up the world’s first 9a+. Chris has bolted and sent what remains one of the world’s toughest problem, La Dura Dura (9b+), and has been instrumental in advancing the sport of climbing and guiding it in a positive direction. Not just a sponsored athlete, Chris recently became somewhat of an entrepreneur, opening his own bouldering gym in Barcelona. Stepping out of his comfort zone, he's trying to create something unique and give back to the sport he loves. Chris has been a guiding force in the development of Santa Linya climbing over the past 10 years, now considered one of the world’s toughest sport climbing destinations. In this episode of Epic Climber, Sasha, Edu and Adam watch on as Chris goes through the process of putting up a brand new route, without even knowing if it’s technically possible.
